RED Group

is a industrial control systems company. I interned here as an Industrial Control Systems Intern during the summer of 2025. I had two main things that I worked on: selecting a project management software and billable work. Billable projects focused on reviewing PLC code, creating Cause & Effect diagrams, updating P&IDs, updating P&CDs, and testing PLCs developed by RED Group. My favorite part was testing because it was hands-on. I loved all of the work I got to do because I got to learn throughout the summer!

I interned here again during the summer of 2026 and got to work on the engineering team. This summer was much more focused on billable work. This included checking and drafting panel layouts, point to point documents, and wiring diagrams. I also got the amazing opportunity to work on commissioning PLCs on-site!
